Hosting A Clinic

I mainly teach at my 36-acre ranch, located 17 miles outside of Show Low, Arizona.

However, I can travel throughout Arizona to teach in your area, provided I have a Host! (I could potentially travel to Southern California and New Mexico, too.)

There is no charge for hosting; as a Host, you get a *complimentary spot in the Clinic!

Now is the perfect time to Host an Equine First Aid Clinic and gain valuable skills for you and your horse community.

So, please read the following three points carefully, then fill out a Host Application HERE.

1. What is Needed

2. What is Provided

2. What is Provided

  • An area for the PowerPoint portion—coffee room, classroom, garage, tack room, or corner of the barn—is required. We also require an area to plug in our TV and for students to be able to sit down—chairs or hay bales will do.

  • Location to Work with Patients (horses): arena, barn, shelter, shade trees, round pen, etc. We can teach in just about any size area but do need a place to get out of the elements for the hands-on portion if need be.

  • Bathroom facility—This may be a toilet, portable unit, or outhouse, but we require a bathroom for the students.

  • Horses! We will work with your horses—any age, breed, or size. We require one (1) horse for every three (3) students. We ask that you choose horses that will prove safe to work with for the students, recognizing that horses are living, breathing, reacting animals. *Due to insurance liability reasons, we cannot work with stallions or pregnant mares.

  • Minimum Class Size—If traveling outside our home area, we will need a minimum of 12 paid class participants before we can commit. This is to ensure we can cover travel fees, lodging, and food.

  • A deposit of $169.00 (full day) / $99.00 (half day) is required to hold the date.
